By accessing searchngo.org, you agree to these Terms of Use and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

You may browse the site, download our public PDFs, share links to our pages, and submit our forms in good faith.

You may NOT:

• Scrape the site or use automated tools to extract content at scale without prior written consent.
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or compromise the operation of the website or its supporting infrastructure.
• Post abusive, defamatory, harassing, or unlawful content via any submission form.
• Impersonate SEARCH staff or imply an affiliation that does not exist.

Donations are processed by Razorpay. Your card, netbanking, or UPI details are entered on Razorpay’s hosted Checkout and never reach SEARCH’s servers.

80G receipts are issued by email within five working days of a successful Indian-rupee donation. FCRA receipts for foreign contributions are issued separately once the funds clear the FCRA account.

Refunds

SEARCH does not generally refund donations once they have been processed. We will, however, address exceptional circumstances — genuine error, duplicate transaction, or a payment captured against a cancelled mandate — if you write to us via the contact form within 30 days of the transaction. Approved refunds are processed back to the original payment instrument.

Cancelling monthly donations

Monthly donations may be cancelled at any time by writing to info@searchngo.org. Cancellation processing takes up to two working days; any charge that has already been initiated when the request lands is not reversed automatically.

Volunteer applications, contact-form messages, newsletter signups, and any other content you submit to SEARCH through this website are governed by our Privacy Policy.

You retain ownership of the content you submit. SEARCH may use anonymised submissions for programme reporting, donor reporting, and impact storytelling unless you explicitly object in your submission.

All original content on this website — text, photographs, video, illustrations, code — is copyright © SEARCH unless attributed otherwise.

Audited reports, registration certificates, and other compliance PDFs are provided for download and reference. They may be shared in their original, unaltered form; they may not be modified, re-typeset, or excerpted in ways that change their meaning.

The SEARCH name, mark, and visual identity (the wordmark, the logo, the colour system on this site) may not be used in promotional or commercial material without prior written permission from SEARCH.

We link to government portals, peer NGOs, donor partners, audit firms, and the privacy policies of our processors. Those websites are independent of SEARCH and operate under their own terms and privacy policies. We don’t control their content and don’t endorse it by linking to it.

The information on this website is provided “as is”. SEARCH does not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or free of errors, and we don’t guarantee that any specific information will remain accurate indefinitely.

Programme outcome figures — villages reached, hectares restored, beneficiary counts — are accurate as of the most recently audited fiscal year. Live-data dashboards, where they exist, are sourced from the underlying programme MIS and update on the cadence of those systems.

To the fullest extent permitted by Indian law, SEARCH’s liability arising from your use of the website is limited to direct damages caused by gross negligence on our part. Indirect, consequential, incidental, or punitive damages are excluded.

For donors, our aggregate liability is capped at the amount you donated in the transaction giving rise to the claim. For general visitors who have not transacted with SEARCH through the website, the cap is zero.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from the use of this website is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at [registered-office jurisdiction city], Andhra Pradesh.

We update these terms when our practices change. Material changes are flagged at the top of the page for at least 60 days, and the last-updated date in the hero is refreshed at the same time. Editorial fixes (typos, broken links) do not bump the date.
