Anatomy of a report

What’s in a SEARCH annual report.

Every annual report follows the same four-part structure so year-on-year comparison is straightforward. The PDFs are roughly 60-90 pages and average 4-5 MB.

  • Programme section

A focus-area-by-focus-area account of the year: watersheds restored, sanitation blocks built, FPOs registered, trainees placed. Each programme reports its own quantitative outcomes and a representative case study.

  • Financial statements

The audited income and expenditure statement, balance sheet, and supporting notes — signed off by an independent audit firm. Programme expenditure is broken out by focus area so donors can see exactly where their contributions land.

  • Governance section

The board's composition, the year's meeting cadence, the audit committee report, and statutory disclosures (FCRA, 80G, CSR-1, Society Registration). Where compliance was renewed during the year, the dates are listed.

  • Partner list

Every grant-making donor, government partner, peer NGO, and corporate-CSR contributor named explicitly. SEARCH's transparency commitment is that no contribution above a disclosure threshold goes unnamed.
